Essex Scene 4

The final scene is about Essex parking issues and is a perfect spot to use the reactor.
The scene was prepared with the help of reactor. I tweaked the mass and gravity settings to make it look as realistic as possible.

Essex Scene 3

Scene 3's aim was to tell us about the great infrastructure of Essex County and motorway network.
In this scene I used lights with glow and volume modifiers.
I had several problems with making the scene.
The lights didn't want to move with a car as a group so I had to divide the car and it's lights into two seperate groups. So actually the car and the lights are two different objects that move in the same direction with the same speed. Fortunately the car didn't have to turn in that scene.
The second problem was the light flickering at far distances. I couldn't solve it and I think this is the Max's problem.
Also the "shadow map" has been used that in this case looks the same as the ray shadows but takes much less time to render.

Essex Scene 2

Scene 2 was made to highlight Essex' hospitality. It is made of simple animations of position change and rotation on several key frames.

Essex Scene 1

The first scene was made to highlight the accessibility of Essex itself focusing on cheap airlines operating on Standsted Airport. There is only one actor and a large moving plane underneath it to create the feeling of the airliner being in motion. At the end the airliner makes a turn which is it's own animation.

Essex promo movie

My second task was to create the Essex promo movie. I decided to use some new techniques that I didn't have opportunity to use before. My two aims were to use the Reactor to create the complicated animation and to use the moving lights with glow and volume settings. The lights are really effective wich can be seen in scene 3 above.

I created a couple of models to act in my movie. One of them was a model of an airliner based on Boeing 737. Modelled form plane using symmethry and Unwrap UVW for texturing.

The other one was a model of a car. I used the same methods to make this one as well.
Rest of the models were quite simple and were made to form a background.
